Following my Untitled colors, (2023) series, this new collection was created during my first month in Italy and explores color perception through a fresh lens. Inspired by the vibrant roadside wildflowers I encountered daily, this series invites viewers to discover beauty and colors in the everyday environment.
As a colorblind artist, I continue to explore the fascinating divergence between my perception of color and that of those with typical color vision. In this new series (name will follow), I capture abstract images of flowers, focusing on the hues that stand out to me. Each piece is an invitation to see the world from my perspective, where familiar landscapes reveal unexpected beauty and colors.
This series expands on the themes of the original Untitled (Colors) by delving deeper into the interplay between my distinctive viewpoint and the viewer's perception. The titles of each piece reflect the colors as I perceive them, offering a unique palette that often diverges from conventional reality.
The artworks challenge traditional notions of color perception, blurring the line between realism and abstraction. They encourage viewers to contemplate the subjective nature of color, fostering a deeper appreciation for the diversity of visual experiences. This series of work will not only celebrates the inherent beauty of nature but also invites you to immerse yourself in a visually captivating journey that bridges the gap between perception and reality.
