Light box with LED light inside

In my new series, I invite you to explore the vibrant world of color and light through a unique lens. Inspired by the commercial lightboxes that illuminate our urban landscapes, I have transformed these everyday objects into artworks that celebrate the pure beauty of color.

As a colorblind artist, my relationship with color is both personal and profound. While I perceive colors differently, I find joy in discovering the endless possibilities they offer. Each artwork within this series captures the essence of a fleeting moment, where color becomes both the subject and the storyteller. The images within the lightboxes are derived from photographs of flowers, meticulously transformed into abstract compositions. By stripping away recognizable forms, I emphasize the vibrant colors that lie within nature's intricate designs. These abstract photographs are meant to be more than just visual experiences; they are invitations to immerse yourself in a world of color, to surround yourself with light and wonder.

As part of my ongoing journey to redefine photography, I’m exploring new ways to present photographic prints. The images displayed within the lightboxes are photographs, but by moving away from traditional framing, I aim to offer a fresh perspective. Through this approach, I challenge the usual boundaries of photography, transforming it into a more immersive and dynamic experience where light and color take center stage.

Color Light Boxes offers a dual experience: each piece is both a work of art and a functional light object that can be switched on. This allows the artworks to transform spaces, creating a dynamic interplay between light and color in your home. By reimagining the purpose of lightboxes, I aim to shift the focus from commercial intent to the contemplative appreciation of color itself.
